Where is my data stored?

Everything you record — milestones, journal entries, appointments, photos, growth measurements and the designs you make in the Create studio — is stored on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere unless you use Family Circle. Deleting the app deletes that data, so export anything you want to keep first.

How do I back up or move to a new phone?

Bloom Bump's data is included in your device's iCloud or Finder backup. Restoring a backup onto a new phone brings your records with it. There is currently no separate in-app export of the whole journal, but you can export a PDF memory book from Memories, and save individual photos and cards to your photo library.

How does Family Circle work?

Family Circle lets you share milestones and journal entries you have not marked private with people you invite. One person creates a circle and gets an 8-character invite code; everyone else joins by entering that code. Sharing runs through iCloud, so everyone needs to be signed in to iCloud on their device. Treat the code as private — anyone who has it can see what the circle shares. You can leave a circle at any time from More → Family Circle.

Family Circle says it cannot find my code

Check that the code was typed exactly as shown (it is not case sensitive, but the characters matter), that you are signed in to iCloud in the Settings app, and that you have a network connection. If it still fails, ask the circle's creator to open the app once so the circle is re-published, then try again.

Why do the week-by-week size comparisons start at week 3?

Before week 3 there is nothing meaningful to compare a baby to, so the app shows a short note instead of inventing a comparison. You can switch between comparison themes (fruits, sweets, animals, flowers and others) in Settings.

The app asked for camera, photo, calendar or Face ID access

You can change any of these at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Notifications are not arriving

Check that notifications are allowed for Bloom Bump in the iOS Settings app, and that the reminders you want are switched on in More → Settings. Reminders are scheduled on your device, so they keep working offline.

How do I remove the sample data?

More → Settings → Sample data has a "remove sample data" action. It deletes only the entries the sample seeder created and leaves everything you wrote untouched.

Something went wrong — how do I report it?

Go to More → Settings → Diagnostics & logs, tap export, and email us the file. It contains a record of what the app did — screens, actions and errors — and does not include your journal text, your baby's name or your photos.

Is this medical advice?

No. The weekly and monthly content is general wellness information. Always talk to your doctor, midwife or other care provider about your pregnancy and your baby's health.
