Bloom Bump Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 26, 2026

This page explains what information the Bloom Bump pregnancy and baby tracking app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described here. Bloom Bump is designed to keep your pregnancy and baby records on your own device, and we have deliberately kept the amount of information that leaves your phone as small as possible.

Information Stored on Your Device

Everything you enter in Bloom Bump is stored locally on your device, inside the app's private storage area. This includes your due date or your baby's birth date, profile details, milestones, journal entries, appointments, checklists, baby names, growth measurements, bump photos, ultrasound images, monthly photos and any designs you create in the Create studio. We do not have access to this information and it is not uploaded anywhere unless you take one of the actions described below.

Family Circle (iCloud)

Family Circle is an optional feature. If you choose to create or join a family circle, the app uploads the milestones you have recorded and your journal entries that are not marked private to Apple's iCloud service, so that the other people in your circle can see them. This data is stored in the app's iCloud container and is associated with the share code for your circle. Anyone who has your share code can see the information shared in that circle, so treat the code as private and only give it to people you want to share with. If you never create or join a family circle, nothing is uploaded to iCloud. You can stop sharing at any time by leaving the circle.

Photos and Camera

Bloom Bump asks for camera access so you can take weekly bump photos inside the app, and for permission to add images to your photo library so you can save the cards and photos you create. Photos you take or import stay on your device with the rest of your records. The app does not read, scan or upload your photo library. When you pick an existing photo, it is selected through Apple's standard photo picker, which only hands the app the single image you chose.

Face ID and App Lock

If you turn on App Lock, Bloom Bump uses Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode to unlock the app. This check is performed entirely by iOS. The app is only told whether the check succeeded and never receives your biometric data.

Calendar

If you choose to add an appointment to your calendar, the app writes that single event to your calendar. Bloom Bump requests write-only calendar access and cannot read your existing events.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders on your device for things such as appointments, weekly updates and photo prompts. These reminders are created and delivered locally by your device. No notification content is sent through our servers.

Analytics and Tracking

Bloom Bump does not use any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services. It does not track you across other apps or websites, and there are no advertising identifiers in the app. The app records basic usage events, such as which screens were opened and whether an action succeeded or failed, only in a diagnostics log stored on your device.

Diagnostics Log

The app keeps a rolling diagnostics log on your device to help troubleshoot problems. This log records events, screen names, counts, identifiers and error messages. It does not contain your journal text, your baby's name, or the contents of your photos. The log never leaves your device unless you choose to export it and send it to us yourself from Settings. If you do send it to us, we use it only to investigate the problem you reported.

Information We Receive

We do not operate servers that collect your personal information. If you email us for support, we receive whatever you choose to include in that email, and we use it only to answer you.

Security

Your records are stored in your app's private storage, which is protected by iOS. Data shared through Family Circle is stored in Apple's iCloud infrastructure and is subject to Apple's own security measures. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Medical Disclaimer

The weekly and monthly content in Bloom Bump is general wellness information and is not medical advice. Always consult your doctor, midwife or other care provider about your pregnancy and your baby's health.

Children's Privacy

Bloom Bump is intended for use by adults who are tracking a pregnancy or their own child. The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Information a parent records about their own baby is stored on that parent's device as described above.
